Summary from Goodreads:
My darkness was born in it.
Her secret was created by it.
My job was immersed in it.
It would either ruin us or save us.
My name is Caden Morgan, and I am a sex surrogate.
After years of seclusion and fear-induced abstinence, Ivy Jaymes came to me to fix her. Her love of erotic books brought her out of hiding and into my office. I had done this sort of thing hundreds of times… but she was different.
Ivy’s secrets threatened my own.
Her darkness paralleled mine.
And my obsession for her was sure to break me.
Could we heal each other with love?
Or would we end up decimating one another with Lust?
I found this title under “Erotica” but I wouldn’t really classify it as such. I was sort of expecting it to be centered around this sexual relationship between patient and therapist, but it was much more than that. It was deeper and more complex than I anticipated, and I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be this amazing love story.
The beginning seemed a little abrupt to me, although I can’t explain why -so maybe it was just me. However, as soon as I got into it, it completely absorbed me. I absolutely loved this book!
Lust is the first book I’ve ever read that is narrated exclusively from the male point of view. I have read dual POVs but never just the guy and I really enjoyed it, it was a refreshing change. Cade was just perfect, he was the perfect hero for Ivy and I have nothing to say but gush about their story. It’s not pretty though -most of the time it’s dark, raw and emotional but the kind of book you just can’t put down.
I also liked the fact that Ivy was a blogger who reviews books… how cool is that! She wants to experience the kinds of things she reads about in books and I find that very relatable. Who doesn’t wish they could live in their favorite book sometimes?
Well, I don’t want to give anything away by going into detail. I could go on and on about all the things that made Lust such a wonderful read but you’ll just have to find out for yourself. I highly recommend this book, it does not disappoint!
